Since from 1959 after the Chinese invasion we Tibetan in any part of the world has and have been trying ourselves to preserve the rich roots of our cultures and traditions that we inherited from our older generation , after the long years of Chinese invasion we Tibetan are still proud to keep and protect our cultures and traditional alive .
We also know that the elder generation who first came into exile have made an exceptionally hard work to keep the spirit of Tibetan alive and always been concern and have done undoubtedly tremendous job from their part to keep the spirit of Tibetan alive and today we can see the result of their hard work and in fact every younger generation should feel proud of their excellent job, even though the cultures and traditional of our country have been protected so well but because of the environment that we live with and the fast changing modern society with rising of new culture trends are however are effecting our rich roots of culture and beautiful traditional that we have blessed from our ancestors.
Whether, the Tibetans in Tibet or Tibetans in exile are somewhat getting the influence from the majority of the population that we are living with. Tibetans in Tibet are appreciated by Chinese when they choose to live the way of Chinese life style and in exile being enjoying total freedom and independent we are even trying to follow up the westernization and getting into their life style, Though we don’t criticize on that part but we still believe that being a Tibetan we should be more aware of Tibetan music and song as which is part our culture and tradition.
So Tibet’s Talents Search came up with idea of Tibetan idol which main objectives are:
• Preserving Tibetan culture and traditional values.
• Giving platforms for young Tibetans to showcase their skills and talents.
• Connecting Tibetan youths with the rich roots of our traditional values and cultures.
• Enriching love, happiness, joy and Unifying all Tibetan through this musical event.
As we felt that the music is one of the powerful tools of communication and beautiful ways to preserve our cultures and traditional.
Especially With the including of youth within the competition will make huge benefit on the part of promoting and preserving our rich culture and tradition amongst the youngster, if today we look at any part of Tibetan community especially the youth they are more interested in western or the Indian music than the our own Tibetan music and song.
The song and music of any country is vital part of their cultures and tradition, since shows once believes , the way of life style and of course the identity of the region.
